Job Description
As the QA Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and improving quality standards for a diverse range of imported food ingredients. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with an established player in the B2B food supply industry, ensuring compliance with Australian and international food safety regulations. You’ll be responsible for overseeing HACCP implementation, managing certifications, and collaborating with both local and international stakeholders. This position allows you to make a significant impact on product quality while working in a dynamic, global supply chain environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain HACCP standards in warehouse operations
- Ensure strict compliance with FSANZ regulations for imported food ingredients
- Manage and uphold organic and kosher certifications
- Oversee quality assurance processes for a wide range of food ingredient imports
- Liaise with clients and suppliers regarding quality standards and requirements
- Provide technical support on food safety and quality matters
- Collaborate with the onshore QA team to maintain consistent quality across operations
- Adapt international food safety standards to meet Australian requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement of quality management systems
- Proven experience in QA management within the food and beverage industry
- In-depth knowledge of HACCP, FSANZ, and other relevant food safety standards
- Familiarity with organic and kosher certification processes
- Strong understanding of importing processes and regulations, preferably in either Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada or Europe/UK
- Excellent communication skills in English, with ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Adaptability to different international food safety standards and regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with a global team
- Familiarity with quality management software and digital documentation systems
- Willingness to stay updated on evolving food safety regulations and industry best practices
