Job Summary:

The Food Specialist/Cooking Instructor is a key member of the Within Health Nutrition team, assisting the Registered Dietitian (RD) in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the nutrition program. The Food Specialist is essential in the processing of meal plans, providing nutrition-related education and support to clients, and monitoring of nutritional compliance and safety.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

● Plan and prepare meals and menus based on guidelines established by the RD.

● Counsel clients on the prescribed nutritional guidelines.

● Accompany clients on virtual grocery shopping trips.

● Place meal and grocery orders for delivery via Within’s designated vendors, track deliveries, and allocate costs appropriately.

● Conduct relevant nutrition education groups that are engaging and appropriate for a variety of eating disorders and leaners.

● Conduct individual and group culinary skills training sessions (i.e., cooking classes).

● Facilitate virtual therapeutic meal support.

● Plan, coordinate, refine, and correct menus to be compliant with RD orders.

● Monitor changes in RD orders.

● Provide education and develop strategies to improve overall health and wellbeing of clients.

● Monitor clients for appropriate meal plan consumption and communicate completion rates with the team.

● Communicate with RDs and Chief Nutrition Officer, as needed, regarding clients’ progress and any situations that may require dietary intervention.

● Assist in ensuring that the mission, goals, and objectives of Within are understood and actively supported.

● Ability to provide empathetic, compassionate support to clients as exemplified by motivational interviewing and respectful communication.

● Must be able to influence change and uphold boundaries with clients.

● Other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

● Completion of a Dietetics Technician program, or equivalent relevant experience in food service. ● Minimum of 1 year working in a behavioral healthcare setting.

● Knowledge of and experience in the field of eating disorders preferred.

● Comfortable working with a variety of computer programs including, but not limited to Google Workplace, Zoom, and Slack .

● Working knowledge of the meal planning processes and systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php27,000.00 – Php30,000.00 per month
