Research Assistant

Location: Paseo de Roxas, Makati City (Hybrid Work – 2 days wfh, 3 days onsite)
Fixed Term Contract: 6 months (contract renewal will depend on the business needs or performance)
Salary: Php 30,000 – Php 32,000 
Benefits: HMO & monthly accrued leaves upon start date

Job Function:

• Under direct supervision, researches, gathers data, develops preliminary findings, and prepares written reports related to consumer product regulatory and technical requirements.
• Prepares technical reports, product test protocols, regulatory newsletters, training aids, and other work derivatives as assigned.
• Contributes to team operational workflow development and implementation, as well as tracking key performance indicators to monitor productivity and effectiveness.
• Updates various databases containing information related to product requirements and testing procedures.
• Contributes to research and protocol creation and maintenance for consumer product categories. Participates in the continuous improvement of the research and protocol process.
• Supports department communications and works with client’s staff to respond to inquiries. May be asked to support the development of newsletters, announcements and publications relating to the assigned research scope.
• Communicates with global regulatory and standards bodies to obtain regulations not available through online research. May also be required to contact regulatory bodies to clarify understanding of published standards and regulations to aid in technical inquiry response, test method creation, or other technical service needs.
• Monitors and measures productivity and quality of research to contribute to departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by providing technical advice, training and peer review as needed.
• May assist in the development and implementation of special projects.
• Reads and follows the client’s Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
• Performs other duties as directed

Qualifications:

• University Degree in Engineering, or other related technology discipline (Chemical/Food/Industrial and other related field)
• Knowledge on Data Entry / Data Management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required, proficiency in a secondary/multiple language(s) a plus
• Strong skills in internet research, Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to read, interpret and present a basic knowledge of regulations, standards, test methods and protocols
• Ability to manage multiple projects with sense of urgency while maintaining high quality and customer focus
• Ability to work virtually, in a multicultural, global environment
