Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description:

1. Ensures compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
2. Conduct microbiological testing on products, raw materials, and environmental samples following established protocols and guidelines.
3. Revises and updates food safety and quality programs and procedures as needed.
4. Documents corrective actions, follows up as necessary and conducts GMP and Sanitation audits.
5. Performs physico-chemical analysis, microbiological analysis and sensory evaluation of raw materials and finished products, and as required for new product development. 
6. Performs inspection and evaluation of packaging materials. 
7. Contributes to product quality improvement by participating in manufacturing and collaborating with management. 
8. Reviews product specifications to understand goals, documents testing processes, identifies issues, and recommends corrective actions
9. Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in food technology, Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, or related field
2. At least 2 years full-time experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance. 
3. Has knowledge of basic Food Safety and HACCP implementation.
4. Has experience in physico-chemical/microbiological laboratory testing
5. Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Management skills
6. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
7. Can effectively communicate in English (verbal & written)
8. Can work with minimum supervision.
9. Proficient in MS Office.
