Job Description

Job Summary

The Laboratory Analyst – Chemist is responsible for conducting chemical analyses, testing, and experiments on raw materials, in-process products, and final products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves working with complex instruments, performing analytical methods, and reporting findings to support product development, quality control, and process improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs quality control tests on current experiments with no contaminated compounds or equipment;
  • Prepare compounds, test solutions and reagents to conduct tests and experiments;
  • Conducts test procedures and activities needed, in accordance with GLP/GMP/HACCP/ SHE Policies;
  • Determine the relationship of chemical and physical properties, composition, structures and reactions of organic and inorganic compounds using chromatography, spectrophotometry and spectroscopy techniques;
  • Develop, improve and customize equipment, products, formulas, analytical methods and processes;
  • Induce reactions to chemical substances with light, energy, heat and chemical catalysts;
  • Document findings in technical papers and reports, preparing specifications and testing standards;
  • Clean and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, making sure that all technology is working correctly, if not, knows how to troubleshoot problems or issues;
  • Order needed supplies and chemicals, considering lead time and expiration dates;
  • Able to draft manuals and laboratory procedures;
  • Support quality system improvements through the completion of corrective and preventive action forms, documenting non-conformances, and assisting with internal audit findings as assigned;
  • Train other lab personnel and oversee workflow as required;
  • Maintains neat and accurate laboratory records in accordance with established FSSC standards;
  • Perform calibrations/checks on laboratory equipment;
  • Interact and issues approved reports to clients;
  • Review and approved analytical laboratory data;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
     

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Chemist (with license);
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Bamban, Tarlac
  • With or without experience;
  • Must be a computer literate and has supervisory/leadership skills.
