RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
The Research and Development Specialist is to work in a hands-on environment and to be actively involved in new and established product strategy, concept, formulation, enhancement, process development, and batch production of wheat, corn, pasta, meats, sauces, dry mixes, sugar and related products including packaging and by-products applications. This involves a variety of standard procedures that ranges from routine to specialized tasks in the area of research and development, laboratory, end product and sensory application.
Education:
Graduate of BS Food Technology, Chemistry, Food Engineering and other related course
Experience:
At least 1 to 2 years’ experience as a R&D in a manufacturing environment gained from flour milling and flour Baking, Cooking and Food preparations
Skills:
- Familiarity with R&D processes
- Sound knowledge on food science principles and processing
- Demonstrate ability to perform product/packaging development or enhancement, and process development and improvement
- Knowledgeable in Philippine regulatory requirements
- Can perform statistical analysis required for product development and process control
- Good understanding of Food Safety System Certification with good knowledge in the implementation of Pre-HACCP for products/processes developed.
