Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections of building systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address facility needs.
  • Perform general building maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Participate in training and development programs.
  • Provide support during facility renovations and upgrades.
  • Inspect and maintain HVAC systems for efficiency.
  • Ensure proper functioning of fire safety systems.
  • Assist in energy management and conservation efforts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas.
  • Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Support the implementation of facility improvement projects.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a facility technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours if needed.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
  • Experience with HVAC systems and controls is a plus.
  • Knowledge of energy management and conservation practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
