Construction careers and prospects are growing in Macau as an excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly capable, self motivated Project Director Cost Management to join a leading international cost management practice to lead the cost management on a major integrated resort developer in Macau.

High value, high grade integrated resort development in Macau, providing cost and commercial management support with a team to the client. Based in Macau. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• The successful applicant will be initially stationed in HK consultants office and subsequently relocate on full-time basis to Macau where he/she will be based in a site / project office provided by the Client.
• Protect the image and ensure provision of quality services by the employer.
• Be responsible for daily interaction and reporting to the client Macau based team and on ad-hoc basis to the client global executives.
• Be self-sufficient and independent in relation to technical team management and commercial / client responsibilities.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the team under his / her direct control in site office.
• Ensure provision of services adheres to Consultancy Agreement and to Client’s satisfaction.
• Provide sound financial management i.e. Fee vs Cost/Resource
• Advise Client of additional services and secure appropriate fees.
• Brief, direct and supervise project personnel under his or her direct control in site office.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 20+ years post qualification experience in roles directly related to the provision of quantity surveying services.
• Suitable experience in the provision of the services in the following sectors; hospitality , hotels , stadia , event centre, theatre. 
• Suitable experience in the provision of core QS services from feasibility / concept through to finalization of accounts and DLP admin.
• Suitable experience in the use of all major forms of contract.
• Suitable experience as a QS dealing with multi-disciplinary and large design consultant teams locally and internationally.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Preferred minimum; Masters and or Degree majoring in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar.
• Preferred minimum : Member of RICS /  HKIS / AIQS or similar with 20+ years post-qualification practical experience.
