Job Description
As a Customer Service Representative (Telecollectors), you will be responsible for contacting customers to collect outstanding debts and negotiating payment terms. You will maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to company policies and legal requirements to achieve successful collections while maintaining customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contact customers via phone to remind them of outstanding debts and facilitate payment arrangements.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlement agreements within company guidelines.
• Record and update customer information and interactions in the company database.
• Handle customer inquiries and disputes regarding their accounts.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local collection laws and regulations.
• Achieve monthly collection targets and contribute to the team’s success.
Qualifications:
• College or High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
• Previous experience in collections, customer service, or a related field preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations and remain calm under pressure.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and databases.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
