Oracle DBA

The scope of work includes Database administration and DB server management activities. Works independently under limited supervision and applies knowledge and experience as a DBA (Primary Oracle Good to have Postgres). Possess sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively deal with all DBA tasks issues and to prevent issues in future. Ensure planning and on time execution of all tasks with good quality.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Technical responsibilities:
Responsible for managing all databases and DB servers of the project.
Ensure high availability of database and prevent issues
Standard DBA activities such as creation of schemas/databases grants backuprecovery strategy RAC ASM helping other teams when needed research and implement new Oracle features/tools/technologies and other project specific DBA activities.
Alerts and monitoring
Investigate and resolve all incidents/issues
Act as a SPOC for all DB related tasks/issues during your shift. Discuss & Coordinate with Developers and Other teams as needed to provide next steps / solution on the issue/task as needed.
Part of rotational shifts and off hours oncall support
Good to have performance tuning of queries and database instances

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Bachelor s degree with relevant experience
Primary Skill:
1. 4 to 8 years of relevant Oracle DBA experience
2. RMAN
3. RAC
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Secondary Skill (good to have / optional):
5. Postgres DBA experience
6. OCP DBA certification
7. Performance Tuning
8. Scripting languages such as Shell Python etc.
