Contexte : Context : AXA XL, the property and casualty and specialty risk division of AXA, provides insurance and risk management products and services for medium to large multinational businesses, and reinsurance solutions to insurance companies in France and abroad. The position is within the Finance Department of AXA XL, supporting the development of activities of the French branch of XL Insurance company.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
• Accounting: participate in quarterly closing activities, documentation of technical balances and monitoring of the aging balance, determination in collaboration with the management teams of the provisioning of uncollectible receivables, resolution of suspense accounts, documentation of specific financial processes for the French branch, management and configuration of the accounting interface between the management software and the accounting department.
• Taxation: proceed with the calculation of accounting restatements (IFRS to FR GAAP) for tax calculation, review and restatement of technical provisions, preparation of transfer pricing documentation for XLICSE French branch. Participate and supervise the establishment of the DAS 2. Support and contribute to the proper functioning of internal and external audit processes, in terms of tax control or other similar activities.
• External reporting: participate in external reporting to regulatory authorities (CBI, ACPR, guarantee funds) or market bodies (France Assureurs).

You will report to the Head of Accounting and Expenses Control, based in Paris.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
• You must have a higher education degree in Accounting and Management (DCG) or have expertise in accounting (DECF).
• Significant experience (5-8 years) in tax compliance preparation or consolidation work, or experience in internal or external audit.
• Rigorous, proactive, and structured.
• Analytical mind, ability to document processes.
• Ability to quickly establish a trusting and effective relationship internally, while staying close to the business.
• Excellent mastery of Excel (data manipulation and exploitation).
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Perfect command of English – working language (written/oral).
