Position Summary
This position is hands on coordinating and management of the daily operational activities to ensure effective and productive flow of service and liaising between back of house and front of house
Essential Criteria
· Proven ability to plan, develop and implement operational development strategies especially in Restaurant Hospitality
· Capable to review and improve operating procedures
· Sound operational and business acumen
· Oversee bookings and pos system
· Managing and supervision of the foh team
· Excellent communication skills
· Budgeting experience, ability to produce reports for bi-monthly board meetings
· Invoicing experience
· Sales and customer service experience
· Delegation of tasks
· Tech Savvy
· Current NT drivers licence
Experience:
• 1 year with qualifications

Qualification:
• Diploma in hospitality management
Job Duties:
Review all tasks and report to Board on progress
Ordering stock and controlling inventory of consumables
Maintaining reports on cashflow and accounting, having them on hand and ready for Directors to review
Rostering all staff, approving timesheets, and ensuring staff feel empowered to perform their roles
Work alongside the team as needed to ensure service is smooth and running at maximum efficiency
Selling and upselling as needed Review and accept deliveries, monitor equipment Team start-up meetings to communicate menu items and upselling aims for the day
Supervise and manage all staff Follow WHS & OHS policies and procedures and ensure you and other staff operate safely and efficiently at all times
Conduct regular WHS/ OHS briefings with the team
Attend and participate in ongoing training to increase skill and competence
Work with HR Manager to ensure we are on track for each employee’s training and development
Oversee direct reports to complete daily opening and closing checklists, amending these checklists as needed
Promotion of company culture and values
Any other duties reasonably requested by the Director

1. Knowledge on popular traditional Sri Lankan cooking and unique food ingredients.
2. Not less than 1 yr experience as a srilankan cook
3. Experience in creating a variety of Rice and Curry dishes.
4. Experience in cooking popular Sri Lankan street food, specially Hoppers, String Hoppers and other short eats.
5. Excellent communication skills with customers and team.
6. Update with current Health and Safety regulations.
