Technically lead our quantity surveying team in the areas of cost planning, procurement, post contract and bank funding.

Drive a business development strategy for the team with support from senior management.

Manage team member resourcing for optimal utilisation across the team and the wider organisation.

Be accountable for the performance of the team and quality outputs.

Proposal preparation, job delivery, work planning and financial management tasks.

Show initiative and provide practical advice to identify solutions to job-specific challenges.

A team player keen to advance his/her skills and truly be an asset to the company projects brand.

Preferred experience in high-end housing, infrastructure works, parks, apartments, commercial, health facilities, schools, retirement living, retail and community assets would be a clear advantage.

Experience across both cost consultancy and contractor roles is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to produce results whilst working alongside various stakeholders.

Prior experience preparing pre- and post-contract construction estimates.

Preparation of capital and operating expense estimates in accordance with relevant standards such as Method of Measurement for Highway Works, CESMM4, NRM01/02/03, RMM01/02, SMM07, IS1200, AACE, and so on.

Preparing quantity take-offs for various types of projects based on specifications/available drawings or information.

Preparation of bottom-up and top-down estimates based on project requirements.

Knowledge of relevant rates, rate benchmarking, location factors, productivity, and so on.

Understanding of relevant rates, as well as rate benchmarking against other projects of a similar nature.

The ability to prepare the entire lifecycle cost and calculate NAV will be advantageous.

Provide procurement strategy advice to the client.

Create tender and contract documents for contractors and consultants.

Negotiate with contractors and subcontractors.

Assists in the preparation of bidders’ technical and commercial evaluation reports, as well as the creation of price bid comparison statements.

Quantifying and submitting changes in terms of time and cost impact, as well as substantiating with proofs.
