Metal Fabricator

Shalders Nominees located in Mt Sheridan WA is seeking a
full-time Metal Fabricator.

This position reports to the Farm Manager / Owner, and is
responsible for the construction, repair and maintenance of farming equipment
and structures.

This position will also need to build and test trial
machinery and modify existing equipment in consultation with Farm Manager /
Owner to ensure that equipment and machinery work efficiently for farming
operations.

Salary starting at $73,150 onwards, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

•       
Consulting with Farm Manager / Owner in the
manufacturing of equipment to meet the needs of the farming operations

•       
Modifying and repairing existing equipment for
effective use, including heavy duty welding

•       
Ensuring manufactured and modified equipment are
produced in accordance with Farm Manager / Owner’s specifications and meet
requirements for use in farming operations

•       
Trailing fabricated and modified equipment for
use, and ensuring operational soundness of equipment

•       
Building of structures such as grain sheds,
field bins and trusses, including ensuring timely maintenance and structural
safety

•       
Undertaking fabrication maintenance of equipment
when required

•       
Oversee the maintenance schedule for all
equipment, machinery and structures based on seasonal/operational needs

•       
Maintain and supervise a clean and safe workshop
and abide by workplace health and safety conditions.

Undertake personal and professional development
to enhance knowledge and skills.

Take reasonable care to ensure own and others
safety and health at work and avoid adversely affecting the safety or health of
any other person through an act or omission at work.

Relevant qualifications:

Trade qualifications in welding, engineering or mechanics or
At least 3 years of experience
