- Provide technical support in the manufacturing of spare parts for rotating equipment, including process selection, manufacturing plans, and CAM programming.
- Offer technical consultation to Shops Operating Repair Units and Contractor Shops.
- Support field installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, modify existing equipment, and identify cost reductions and process improvements.
- Prepare design engineering packages for rotating equipment.
- Conduct technical investigations for shop repair return jobs, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Implement the latest technology in manufacturing methodology.
- Develop and revise departmental technical procedures and standards.
- Coach and share knowledge with junior engineers, quality inspectors, and technicians.
- Provide technical input for purchasing specifications, including technical proposal evaluation.
- Collaborate with department engineers, Consulting Services Department (CSD), and other company departments and manufacturers.
- Coordinate with In-House Repair Units, Quality Assurance units, In-Kingdom Contractors, and vendors for shop repair work scopes.
- Participate in vendor and customer exchange meetings.
